The Most Important Phrase
Aš nesuprantu. (I don't understand.)
- Pronunciation: Ash ne-su-pran-TU.
Add a polite "Atsiprašau" (Excuse me/Sorry) before it:
- Atsiprašau, aš nesuprantu.
"Do You Speak English?"
Younger people in Vilnius/Kaunas almost always speak English. Older generations might speak Russian.
- Ar kalbate angliškai? (Do you speak English?)
- Ar kalbate rusiškai? (Do you speak Russian?)
